ASHEVILLE – Fermenti is proud to announce their long-awaited flagship brick and mortar location. Open on Saturdays 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Fermenti will be expanding hours in the new year along with offering classes and workshops; schedule TBA.

Grand Opening celebrations are scheduled for Saturday, Feb 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Not only will Fermenti offer free samples of and carry all the Fermenti products customers have grown to love like our award-winning Kimchi, Sauerkrauts, Sichuan Carrots, Lemons, Hot Sauce, and Salsa, but the Grand Opening will also feature unique small batch ferments like Chow Chow and Ramp Kimchi.
Fermentation kits and the line of Probiotic Rich Pickle Dust, Jalapeno Salt, and Kimchi Spice will be available. The new line of drinkable brines to be announced in the New Year will have a home here as well. Other local food maker collaborators like Well Seasoned Table and Ali Rae Pimento Cheese will have a place alongside incredible ferments by other local fermenters in our cooler, highlighting the breadth of serving suggestions possible with fermented foods.

Classes and workshops will be offered quarterly with both advanced and beginner levels
available. Fermenti is also excited to announce the creation of a new Fermentation Club, where people can meet to talk, share ideas, problem solve issues and craft a ferment of the month to take home. They will also carry tools of the trade including hand turned wooden kraut pounders and handmade fermentation crocks from local artists as well as Selina Naturally Celtic Sea salt to help new fermenters embrace fermenting it all.
The hope of the company is that people of all ages will know they have a safe place to come and explore the world of fermented foods and all the wonderful things it can cultivate in people's lives. Fermenti will still be available in all its current store locations and will still be found at the East Asheville Tailgate Market.

The store will also be turning into a mini year-round WNC Fermenting Festival.  Owners are reaching out to local fermenters and potters as well as sourcing salt, seed, shrubs, kombucha, fermented seasonings, fermentation kits, and locally grown organic vegetables. The Fermenting Club will meet on every first Tuesday of each month.
