Kanuga hires renowned French chef with Western North Carolina connections

HENDERSONVILLE - Kanuga, a historic 1,400-acre site specializing in retreats, summer camps, conferences, group events, and outdoor experiential education, has hired French Chef, Bruno Martin. 

Born in Lyons, France, Martin served in the French Navy and was then formally trained in the culinary arts in Burgundy. He has worked in a number of culinary settings, including restaurants and hotels around the world. He has served as executive chef at Cornucopia in Cashiers and Mountain Fresh Restaurant in Highlands North Carolina, as well as Café Des Artistes in Florida. He also has experience in large dining facilities and special events including weddings, signature venues, and banquets. 

Throughout his career, he has received notable accolades and recognition for menu development, food preparation, leadership, and guest relations.
