On July 21, Blue Ridge Community College turns 55 years old. Since its first days in 1969 as the Blue Ridge Technical Institute through today, the institution has remained true to its values and mission to build a competitive workforce by equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success.

As BRCC reaches this milestone, the impact of its shared work is evident through the strides made in Henderson and Transylvania counties, as well as across the region. BRCC continues to build workforce pipelines in the most critical sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, public safety, and more.
