ASHEVILLE - ArtsAVL, Asheville Brewer's Alliance, Asheville-Buncombe Hotel Association, Go Local Asheville, and the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association are teaming up to host a Candidate Form for Asheville City Council and Buncombe County Commission candidates on Wednesday, September 25 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at The Orange Peel. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Host organizations will moderate the event, asking candidates questions based on their policy focus areas as well as each nonprofit’s top priorities for their member businesses and workforce. Ultimately, the event’s goal is to bring more information and transparency to local elections. The League of Women Voters will host a registration table at the event, welcoming new voters to make their voices heard. Likewise, those who cannot attend in person are invited to tune into Asheville FM (103.3 FM) for live coverage of the event. Spanish interpretation will be available as well - both during the event and for those tuning into Asheville FM.
