Asheville Chamber Seeks Community Input

Launched in 2010 by the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County and Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, AVL 5X5 was the first five-year strategic plan unites business leaders, the City of Asheville, Buncombe County, educational institutions, and community around a common goal to attract and retain jobs that improve career opportunities, expand our key industries, and boost our economy, now and for future generations.
The new 5X5 strategy will guide the Asheville Chamber and Economic Development Coalition’s initiatives for the next five years and beyond. It will help establish goals and priorities aimed at improving the area’s economy for everyone living in the region. The EDC's focus includes diversifying our economy, creating better career opportunities and elevating the area’s standard of living while maintaining what makes the Asheville area so special.
