Jan 21, 2025 10:37AM ● By WNC Business

Applications are open through January 31 for a second round of funding to support Transylvania County businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene.

First-time applicants are welcome, and previous applicants who were not funded will be reconsidered. Businesses that received funds can apply for additional support.

Initially established in 2020 to address pandemic-related economic challenges, the Transylvania Tomorrow Small Business Emergency Relief Fund has distributed $145,000 in grants to 58 businesses to date and has raised a total of $420,000 for Hurricane Helene relief efforts. The fund aims to support small businesses by helping rebuild operations, preserving local jobs, and maintaining the unique character of Transylvania County’s economy.

The initiative is led by the Transylvania Business Support Task Force, a collaborative group that includes the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, Heart of Brevard, Transylvania Economic Alliance, Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority, and Blue Ridge Community College Small Business Center, in partnership with the Community Focus Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
