New Executive Director of Programs at YMCA of Western North Carolina

Ashley Shores-Bobowski is the new Executive Director of Programs at YMCA of Western North Carolina. In this new role, Ashley will offer guidance and leadership to our Aquatics, Youth and Family, Teens and Sports departments across the association.
Shores-Bobowski has over a decade of experience in Education Administration in Memphis, TN, which began through a role with Teach for America. She started in the classroom, teaching biology and her exceptional leadership skills and strong work ethic helped her to quickly grow, leading to her role as the Managing School Director.
Shores-Bobowski loves to maximize effectiveness of systems and teams through creating standardized processes to ensure everyone is able to reach their goals. She is excited to be a part of the Y in part because, “the YMCA empowers individuals to connect through shared interests, learn from one another, and develop meaningful relationships”. Shores-Bobowski, her husband and two small children live in South Asheville and are currently participating in swim lessons at the Reuter Family Y.
