The Haywood County Communications Team — Dillon Huffman, Allison Richmond, and Gina Zachary — took home first place at the NC3C - North Carolina City and County Communicators Excellence in Communications Awards.

Dillon Huffman is the Public Information Officer for Haywood County, NC Government.

Allison Richmond is the Public Information Officer for Haywood County Emergency Services.

Gina Zachary is the Public Information Officer for Haywood County Sheriff's Office. 

They won in the General Use on a Single Platform category for their impactful use of Facebook during Hurricane Helene, keeping our community informed, safe, and connected during a critical time.

The North Carolina City & County Communicators (NC3C) is a statewide network of dedicated professionals working in public information, communications, marketing, and media across local governments and universities.
