Eugenio L. Menendez, DO, FACP, is joining the team at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Hendersonville following the retirement of Thomas Lugus, MD. Dr. Menendez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Menendez earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Florida International University in Miami, FL. He went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and completed his internal medicine residency from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Most recently, Dr. Menendez served as the District Medical Director and Primary Care Physician at Cano Health in Pompano Beach, FL.

“I practice medicine by actively listening to patients and teaching them to listen to
their bodies,” Dr. Menendez said. “I work for the well-being and rights of the patients,
and I lead by example.”

He is dedicated to helping patients feel whole by teaching them to listen to their bodies, follow preventive care, eat natural foods, stay active, and keep their minds engaged. Dr. Menendez will be offering comprehensive patient care beginning on April 20, 2025. Some of his specialties include obesity management, nutrition counseling, wound care, travel medicine, diabetes management and prevention, joint injections and more.

AdventHealth Hendersonville is proud to welcome Dr. Menendez to the team. His expertise, compassionate approach, and commitment to patient advocacy will greatly benefit our community as he builds on the legacy of exceptional care established by Dr. Lugus.

Dr. Menendez is married with three daughters and is excited to become part of the Hendersonville community. He enjoys kayaking, reading, concerts, yoga, cycling and regularly competes in cycling events throughout the year.
