DJ’s Pickles makes chef-crafted small-batch refrigerator pickles, including traditional cucumbers as well as beets, beans, okra and seasonal items in specialty brines. Produce is locally sourced and the products are made right here at the WNC Farmer’s Market in their commercial kitchen. DJ’s Pickles offers retail and wholesale, sells six days per week at the WNC Farmers Market, and can be found at other seasonal and year-round markets as well as specialty events across WNC. DJ’s Pickles Shoppe sells locally made snack items, bread, coffee, sweets and unique pickle-inspired merch. DJ’s was a business born during the pandemic out of the Asheville area. On National Pickle Day, DJ’s is celebrating its new location at the WNC Farmers Market that opened in September 2022. They will be offering free pickle samples, snacks and treats, as well as beverages to attendees (including pickleade, lemonade, tea, and coffee). They will be offering kitchen tours and there is a raffle for a gift basket with goods and merch.
